Last year, I took a leap of faith and moved far outside my comfort zone.
Ever since, my heart has been beating with excitement and, honestly, moments of fear.
But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if he doesn’t come through. –Francis Chan
When my husband and I joined a new church plant in 2016, I felt my life shift, my faith grow, and my heart on fire for Jesus. Simultaneously, I sensed a growing discontent in my career. I let this feeling simmer for months while praying for purpose and clarity.
In May 2018, God opened a door that invited me in a different (and unexpected) direction: ministry.
And after weeks of prayer, processing, wrestling, and worship — he has graciously given me the confidence to say yes.
Through summer 2020, I’m serving as a resident at Christ Community Church in Omaha. This residency program includes hands-on leadership training, mentoring, and a master’s degree in ministry leadership from Crown College.
The church is paying 100 percent of my graduate degree and will invest over $26,000 toward my residency experience. I’m also required to raise support to cover living expenses, as the program and classes are a full-time commitment.
You can partner with me in two ways: prayer and giving.
- I need your prayer support! I can’t do this without God’s power, peace, and wisdom.
- I need to raise $800/month to cover some of our living expenses.
You can give online at my.cccomaha.org. After creating an account, click on Giving and scroll down to the Ministry Leadership Education option. You’ll see my name and can enter the amount you’d like to contribute.
Additionally, make sure to join my email list via the form below where I’ll be sharing my writing and ministry updates.
